F -thresholds of Hypersurfaces
In characteristic zero one can define invariants of singularities using all divisors over the ambient variety. A key result that makes these invariants computable says that they can be determined by the divisors on a resolution of singularities. For example, if a is a sheaf of ideals on a nonsingular variety, then to every nonnegative real number λ one associates the multiplier ideal J (a). The...
متن کاملF-pure Thresholds and F-jumping Exponents in Dimension Two
Using an argument based on an idea of Monsky, we prove the rationality of the F-pure thresholds of curve singularities on a smooth surface defined over a finite field. More generally, we prove in this setting the rationality and discreteness of F-jumping exponents, the smallest positive one of which is the F-pure threshold. We also give a lower bound for F-pure thresholds in the homogeneous case.

F-thresholds are defined by Mustaţǎ, Takagi and Watanabe, which are invariants of the pair of ideals on rings of characteristic p > 0. In their paper, it is proved F-thresholds equal to jumping numbers for the test ideal on regular local rings. In this note, we give formulas of F-thresholds and F-jumping coefficients on toric rings. We prove that there exists an inequality between F-jumping coe...

متن کاملDiscreteness and Rationality of F -jumping Numbers on Singular Varieties
We prove that the F -jumping numbers of the test ideal τ(X ; ∆, a) are discrete and rational under the assumptions that X is a normal and F -finite variety over a field of positive characteristic p, KX + ∆ is Q-Cartier of index not divisible p, and either X is essentially of finite type over a field or the sheaf of ideals a is locally principal. This is the largest generality for which discrete...
